I've seen Dan (trailboss of moos) post pics of the trails on Pinkbike for a while. I recently seen a link to their blog, so I thought I'd post it up. They reminded me of Willow St trails, that Quaggy and crew run around these parts. Similar dirt, jump building style and layout of the jumps/lines.
Moos had a soil sample done and its pretty much exactly what I figured it would be made up of from the pics I've seen of the soil. I'm intrested in seeing how many other soils I'm close to. I have a full chart of soils from trails I've been to while traveling in a notebook somewhere. I also seen tons of larger 5-6 inch rocks in the pictures, if I were them id be saving every last one for stacking backs and sides of jumps and berms. Best erosion protection ever, I know they have moss but that dies in summer heat and the moss will die in summer heat. The moss will grow on the rocks too I supose. Either way they are having some local trouble with the jumps and the city, so go to their site and support a good cause.
